Great weekend in Maryland
What a beautiful morning at the temple in D.C. Brandon and I attended with the youth, while Randy, Dylan and Riley hung out together.
Riley's 1st temple trip.
Afterward we drove to Baltimore to attend my sister Amanda's Fitness competition. This was her first time and she has been training for about 5-6 months. We ran into her at Barnes and Noble before the final competition started.
Riley was her cute self, however, we weren't enjoying her new ear piercing screeching she has decided to demonstrate when things don't go her way. But, she was ready to cheer her Auntie Mandy on.
The boys were excited to see their cousins.

Amanda won 1st place in her division, a very exciting moment for all. I just want to know why I didn't get those family genes.
We had fun afterward celebrating in Baltimore's Inner Harbor. We had dinner at the Hard Rock where my sister ordered three desserts first, a plate of nachos and a hamburger. She had fun taking a few bites from all of them until the sugar rush hit. She hasn't eaten anything like this in many months.

A Birthday Tribute to My Dad
Robert Glenn Laymon, aka Bob, Dad, Glenn, Grandpa, Bishop
Born October 8th, 1950 in Lincoln Nebraska
Married his Senior Prom Date, my mom

They had seven children and would have loved more. They made up for it later by taking in exchange students and stray young single adults.
Was a loving husband, companion, and friend.

A great Dad.
Loved country music and dancing. I remember many father daughter dances. He would have me spinning all around the floor - loved it.
Loved his parents and the times he got to spend with them.
Moved on to his next journey on January 2nd, 2010.
Happy 60th Birthday Dad! I even found the card I would have sent you that would have made you chuckle. You are close to my heart and in my thoughts today. Can't wait until I can be reunited with you again. Randy, the boys, Riley and I are having your angel food cake with white sticky frosting in your honor. I love you Dad.

Family Vacation to Assateague Island
Our trip was suppose to start on Friday... as we were hours behind schedule leaving, the car was loaded, we were finally on our way, a mile from home and ...the car suddenly died. My friend Chris came to our rescue and drove me and the kids home to get Randy's truck. Randy with help from above was able to start the car and get it to our street before it died again. He then towed it up the street where he began to diagnose the issue. Again with divine intervention he was able to find the problem, locate the part, and install it. It is crazy that such a little thing can cause such an inconvenience.

Riley loved the beach, and was even starting to get used to the sand. She really loved the water. She is a water baby.
We saw some of the wild ponies. This was right on the road by the parking area.
Early Saturday am we departed to Maryland.
This was the check-in building, and we were so excited to finally be arriving and a beautiful day too!!!
The boys getting their energy out...
We hit the beach on Assateague Island State Park.
I had to put this picture in because I truly loath these birds. Over the coarse of my life I have been their target too many times and they just scare me.
